We went to the post office and used a post office scale for reference. Some of the weights below may defy physics and we blame that on the post office scale. We took images of each of the below as well for reference.
We weighed the following and got the following weights as a reference point:
1 single 12 oz can - 11.5 ounces (Golden Road)
1 single 16 oz can - 1 pound 1 ounce (Heady Topper)
2 single 12 oz cans - 1 pound 9 ounces
4 pack 12 oz cans - 3 pounds 4 ounces
4 pack 16 oz cans - 4 pounds 6 ounces
6 pack of 12 oz cans (no packing) - 6 pounds
6 pack of 12 oz cans (packed) - 6 pounds 5 ounces
6 pack packing box - 5 ounces
Bubble wrap - 2 ounces
750ml Bottle - 2 pounds 15 ounces
Box 12.25 x 12.25 x 6 -(post office priority shipping box) - 12.5 ounces
Regarding bottles - the following was taken from an online Ratebeer forum:
A case of 12 oz bottles runs about 34 pounds for stubbies and 37 pounds for the taller ones. 750s runs right around 42 for a case of 12. 5 Liter mini kegs run around 14# per. 20 of the 16.9oz bottles is about 43 pounds.
